The Happy Day at last has Come

Karen failed her latest test, and as a result she has been greatly rewarded. Her doctors have told her that she no longer needs to fly to Texas two or three times a month. Her days of weekly air travel are over.

Upon reading her scans from Monday, the doctor determined that her cancer has been growing since her last scan. With this new information, the decision was made that she be removed from the trial that she has been on for the last several months. Unfortunately, Karen took the information rather harshly, as can be seen in this photograph taken at the time of the announcement:

The saddest part about all of this, aside from not being able to visit the blessed land of Houston every other week, is that instead of coming home next Sunday, she must return to Tennessee today, to arrive in the early afternoon. She unfortunately will have to spend Independence Day with her husband, the author of this article. If her feelings toward said husband are what they have been for the past two years, there may be an unexpected surprise upon the reuniting of the two parties.
