Thank you everyone for fasting for Karen. I gave her a blessing on Sunday. She will be able to go back up to Ohio next Wednesday, the first of October. They're still trying to sort all of the details out about the insurance coverage, but we're pretty confident that will be sorted out in time.
In the meantime, Karen's cancer has been growing and causing pain in her shoulder and arm. Since this is a fast-growing cancer (once it gets going) and the treatment that we were going to do has been fairly slow responding, we are thinking about alternative treatments, but we haven't made any decision yet aside from starting the study we have been talking about.

ReplyDeleteHey, Karen, I hope you're feeling okay. Doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun. Keith, I'm glad you're the one taking care of Karen because you do such a good job. It's super fun looking at your site and seeing all the home improvements! We'll be painting a bathroom this week, which is nothing compared to you guys, but it's a first for me. Keep in touch!
