Ohayou Ohio! (お早うオハイオ)

Karen and I finally made it up to Ohio yesterday to get her first round of pills. The pill is called "lenalidomide" or "revlimid". She'll be taking it every day for 21 days, then have 7 days off and go up to Ohio again to get the next round of pills. She'll also have to get a blood draw every week to make sure she's not pregnant and that her blood counts aren't too low. Hopefully this treatment will be nicer than the one in Texas. At least we won't have to go every other week. We will have to go up in two weeks and two weeks after that, but from that time on we'll only have to go up every fourth week to get the new pills. It's also a lot cheaper to go to Columbus than Houston, so that's a great blessing.
